Make sure that CEL cancel it , in writing
If necessary , appeal and add a paragraph stating that the hotel have cancelled it
Keep all paperwork for 6 years , just in case3 -
i would still log the appeal tbh1
-
Sorry i am being blind but even without the timescale issues its non POFA isnt it?1
-
CEL will be non-POFA, yes. I agree an appeal should be lodged as keeper, anyway.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've got an email from Ibis confirming it has been dismissed. Is that not confirmation enough?Hadn't these practices been outlawed by MPs a couple of years ago? ISTR the Queen signed it all off, and they just needed to write the legislation. Has that still not been written?0

I've got an email from Ibis confirming it has been dismissed. Is that not confirmation enough? It's not Ibis claiming against you! Check the CEL website as to the current status of the PCN. Take screenshots if it's showing cancelled.Hadn't these practices been outlawed by MPs a couple of years ago? ISTR the Queen signed it all off, and they just needed to write the legislation. Has that still not been written? No. There is a new Code of Practice being written, but unlikely to be in place much before the middle of next year, but it doesn't signal the extinction of the private parking industry, it might get rid of some of the worst cowboys, but the industry will survive, get used to the fact and adapt to it being an ever-present in the future.8 years ago we all thought the banning of clamping via the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 would make life much more tolerable for motorists, and look what that has spawned. There are no guarantees that the new CoP won't deliver similar unintended consequences. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Well that is proof enough but still do the appeal, because it's CEL being CEL they could reject it, it's called incompetence. Let's see just how clever they are, you have nothing to loseMr._Mime said:I've got an email from Ibis confirming it has been dismissed. The new CoP has finished it's public consultation (where of course the majority of the public had no idea), it should now be ready to go. You need to ask Robert Jenrick MP, when he will stop the scammers. You know government, they can rush through stuff when they need it. They forget that the motorist is their main voters.

You need to avoid it going to court due to mix ups etc , do everything you can to get this cancelled by CEL , not just the hotel , because you don't want to be the same as this court thread

By appealing to CEL you are following the correct path whilst waiting for their cancellation caused by the hotel cancellation
Red tape and all that goes with it , much harder to unravel in any court case , so prevention is better than cure , as covid proves
The new CoP brought about by the 2019 Parking bill will arrive next year , but isn't retrospective and doesn't help you at all2 -
Clamping has. But ANPR replaced it. Before PoFA <1,000 court cases pa. After PoFA there are hundreds of thousands of court cases pa.Mr._Mime said:Thanks all. Have just entered my details at the CEL site and it confirms "This Parking Charge Notice has been cancelled."
Umkomaas - I thought all private clamping had been wiped out? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
