Hi, I was planning to transfer my £2000 S&S isa to iweb, as they have both etf's that I'm invested in and would save me money. However I happened to read the awful reviews of it on trust pilot. I know these aren't always great but there seems to be a lot of unhappy people.
Do many people here use them, and have you had decent experiences, and if not maybe you could suggest an alternative that has a similar wide choice of funds.
Thanks.

I transferred to iWeb a couple of years ago and I haven't experienced any problems.1

Trustpilot would be close to the bottom of any list I would make to research financial productsIweb are fine, if a bit basic. But excellent for a larger, long term buy and hold strategy with few transactionsDYOR and ignore TPEdit: They wouldn't be my first choice for small sums and frequent trading. With only £2,000 and presumably more trades in the pipeline you might be better off with a percentage fee provider with low trade costs2

iWeb are fine. Unlike other providers they have never chased me to write an online review so they probably only have bad reviews which are not representative of their overall customer satisfaction. Sites that get the best reviews tend to be outright scams.

Another content user of iWeb here. Basic, no frills - but very user friendly and cheap. Can't complain.1

As all others have said they are good I've been with them for 10 years with no problems......its a shame you cant get reviews on Trustpiolot themselves it would make for interesting reading2

I use iWeb and I do not recognise the service described in those reviews.
Trustpilot are not reliable.
Most of those reviews will be negative - people don't tend to review investing platforms if they've had a good experience. If you want something flashy, super easy and intuitive with a greater user interface use HL or one of the trading platforms. iWeb is not that, and does not yet to be that. But it just works.0 -
Another long term satisfied user. Basic, no frills, extremely cheap, probably the best for buy and hold very large portfolios with nothing too esoteric. Depending on which type of investment you can live with a very small handful of others may work out slightly cheaper, eg if you have only ETFs or ITs.2

I tried opening a stocks and shares ISA on the 30th Oct. When I got to the create a password page I tried all sorts of combinations within set down parameters to no avail. So I gave up and went to bed. The following morning I received a log in username and tried again. The account (not yet opened) was frozen. I called them up and was told I would receive a password in the post. As of 30mins ago when I received my days post nothing has arrived even though they claim to have sent out three passwords to me. Meanwhile they sent me a letter containing my pin and a few day later a letter asking me to check the written details they had provided of the account that is supposed to be up and running (according to them) but I still cannot access. The saga continues........-Keep your eyes to the sunshine and you would not see the shadows-
