Data contract on;y - not calls/texts

Options
Does anybody know of a company that offers a data only contract. I have a small Pay-as-you-go phone which I keep for emergency use only (i have spent £15.00 in the last 4 years) and so many of the deals on TV say load down an App on your mobile phone..

Just choose the cheapest contract for the data you need as that's what drives the price. Texts and calls are generally unlimited anyway.

What sort of app is it that you want to download onto your phone?

Why do you need data only for 'emergency use'?

What are these apps to download ?? never seen them on my TV .
Data is via your networks sim card .
Simple PAYG from Asda or Giffgaff and only use the data .

I read it that the OP had seen adverts from companies suggesting to download their apps?
OP what phone is it - really needs to be a smartphone to take advantage of the apps. You can just PAYG data like you do for your calls now although not usually the cheapest option. If you have wi-fi at home, then your phone can connect to that, so you don't need mobile data anyway.
