I assume you could maybe more easily set up a SO from your BOS a/c since they will appear on the same login?
Exactly the route I took in the end - the BOS account now has the SO for the Halifax regular saver.  Seemed to make sense.

For a Halifax RS you don't need to hold a Halifax current account but for a BOS MS you need to hold a BOS current account but it can be funded from anywhere.

Im curious, were you able to switch to Natwest and still retain Halifax Regular Saver?
Or did Halifax ask you to close Reg Saver too since you are going to close Halifax current account to switch to Natwest?

If you read previous posts you'll see that Halifax allow anyone to have a RS- you don't need a current a/c with them- unlike M&S, HSBC and First Direct and probably a clutch of others!

I opened a Halifax regular saver and at the time had no other products open with them so you should be able to keep it.

However at the same time they automatically opened me up an everyday saver account, so that from what I understand, the funds from the regular saver can be paid into it on maturity, as I had no other accounts with them.  So this is something you might need to bear in mind.
