Guttering issue due to neighbours

  • Your house had a major soaking and lots of internal repairs due to that burst pipe. Almost certainly the cracks you are seeing - all in expected places - are simply down to shrinkage in the plaster when it was redone. Possibly timbers were replaced too, and in any event they'd have been damp when it was redecorated - there's bound to be some movement, shrinkage etc.

Almost certainly easy to sort now that the house has had a couple of years to acclimatise inside - fine filler, a sanding, and paint.

I can't see how the gutter overflowing could be causing this, but of course it does need sorting. It's good that your new neighb is on board with the solution, and the cost should be pretty minimal - a couple of hours labour.

  • Hi guys really need help, I had my guttering replaced about 6 months ago it was perfect. My neighbour has decided to have hers done unfortunately she has used cowboys to do the job. They have taken one of my brackets off and put one on that doesn’t match, so yes my guttering is leaking now. Cannot say anything to my neighbour as she just tells me to F..k off . What can I do please.

Please start a new thread :-)
If you can, please also add a few photos to show the issue.
And whenever you speak to your neighbour - don't avoid them - have your phone set to record.
    Ie, 'build a case'
