  • If the oven is working , then it's not much of an issue , if attempting to reset it again doesn't help then I would just leave it and supply your new tenants with a seperate timer (if you want to)

lol.  just realised the property is tenanted  :D
OP - just leave it.  the tenants can buy their own timer.  jeese.  nowadays you can just use your mobile phone or alexa to do the timing.  i wouldn't worry about it.
  • I imagine that it would be really annoying as it is constantly flashing- imagining myself in the same position I would prob ask for it to be fixed. OK well if appliance repair person can’t fix cheaply I’ll have to just leave it, was just hoping someone might have experienced same issue and might know exactly what was wrong with it and how to fix it or the right person to call to fix it. Thanks for help all  :)

i think you are overthinking it!  i wouldn't find the flashing annoying at all.  there is no obligation for you to fix it as it is not critical that the oven has to have a timer.  lots of ovens do not have a timer on them, and in these days of modern technology where people have fitness trackers, smart watches, alexa, bixby, google assistant, really the oven timer is not as needed as it used to be.

Don't know the exact model but the operation of timers and clocks on cookers/ovens seems to be generic.  Try this link kindly supplied by Auntie Google: -

If the solution proposed does not fix it, at least they give you a way to "call someone"
  • I would find the flashing deeply annoying!
