Anyone know what this issue is and who I should call?

My electrics have been checked recently and when switched back on the clock timer was flashing.

We thought it would be a simple case of resetting the timer, but this does not work and it continues to flash, but the oven heats up just fine!

I’ve called manufacturer who disconnected after 40mins of being on hold, but wondering if this is wiring related and maybe something an electrician could do or maybe just an appliance repair person to replace the clock/ clock part?

Its an integrated oven/cooker by Zanussi.
Thanks in advance

We've got a NEFF that does this -  the timer is broke.   There's a fix which involves removing two push buttons and inserting two knitting needles !

timer has broke as already said.  have you ever had to reset the timer before?
  • If the rest of the oven is working, it's certain the correct voltage and current is being supplied. This would rule out an external wiring issue.

Have you read the instruction manual ?

Some ovens will not turn on unless the clock is not flashing you need to read the instruction manual to see if this is the case

Yes- but it's been no problem in the past, just this time we can't reset at all.

Please share a tutorial or something? I'm desperate :D I'm supposed to be getting tenants in soon and everyone I phone doesn't seem to be qualified or know what is wrong with it and really don't want to pay loads to fix it!

if it was me, i would just buy an external timer and stick it on the cooker.

I don't want to appear sarcastic, but if you quote the model number that might help.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I’m not sure it would which is why I didn’t since I’ve followed troubleshooting in the manual for this particular model - I just want to know who I need to call to fix it!

It’s a Zanussi ZBF360X integrated oven though if anyone can provide more info based on this.

The manual says "The oven will work only if the time of day has been set." But you say the oven is working, despite that.
I suggest that you switch off the mains supply, wait say 10 minutes, then switch on again.  Then try resetting the clock. That may sort the issue.   I'd try that a couple of times before giving up.

Otherwise, you'll need an expensive repair to the oven, not the electrics. (In practice, a new oven may be a lot easier and no more expensive.) Or do as AskAsk says.
