Broadband provider's website deliberately having website errors when it comes close to an offer end?

This is the second time this has happened now. The shell one expires at the end of tonight and been showing website errors since last night when I try and sign up to the offer.
You could say coincidence but the exact same thing happened when I tried with another offer in the past, a sky one I think, the offer was to end on that weekend and again conveniently the website has issues.
Can't ring them either since it is the weekend so looks like that offer is off the cards. I prefer the shell one to the plusnet one as 12 month contract is preferable to 18 months and the price difference is pennies.

If you write and complain, they might fix it. It could be deliberate (very unlikely, conspiracies are much less common that conspiracy theorists would would you to believe) or it could just be that there is some bug in their system that is triggered when the deal is close to ending (this is more likely, as software has a limitless potential to fail). The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

Why would a supplier have an offer available, and then stop people being able to take up the offer by making it seem as the website has problems? It makes no sense. If they wanted to stop people taking the offer, they would just withdraw it.0
