    Agree with first part.
But looking at the OPs posts leads me to believe its  genuine.   o:)

Waiting on OP to come back with any actual details etc.
Op did come back for a look at 14:55?   :*

So no further advice asked for. Unfortunate though, for the "poor kids sitting downstairs with there coats and gloves on freezing"

Hopefully OP replies soon with actual info so all can get help?

iv just found out from the other half its more complicated then first thought apparently the energy company haven't  reviewed our account at all and they are dealing with it .but i will say we have had an on going argument with all suppliers about out meter since we moved in about 5 years ago the house was on A7 .since been changed but our bill now is going to be about 150 a month dose this sound right iv got the right hump about it im running round after the kids turning everything of poor kids sitting downstairs with there coats and gloves on freezing .
The energy account works both ways.  The supplier gives you energy to use, you use it and you pay for it afterwards.  That's why we have meters in the way of the gas/electricity supply, they don't install them for fun or to make the cupboard look pretty.

All very well having the hump about it but that's not going to solve the underlying issue.  If you are in debt to the energy company, you're in debt to the energy company, simple as.  What do you mean by "on going arguments with all suppliers about your meter"?

Perhaps wrong? But I read OPs post as arguments with suppliers as meter always ended up showing more usage than OPs initial direct debits indicated?

Equally as plausible if the OP has moved providers and not given a reading they'll have had to guess, and then of course the first "actual" reading comes along and its so far out from what was billed...  It has all the hallmarks of no meter readings being given for months on end, and now some have been acquired (or further guessed as appropriate), oh look you owe us a fortune.

The fifth page tells you that you have a two rate meter (your Electricity Supply number starts S02) but you are being billed at single rate (i.e. there is no cheap rate or peak rate).
ALL your kWh rates and standing charges are cripplingly expensive, so you'll always have massive bills until you switch to competitive suppliers.

Your annual electricity consumption works out at about 4988kWh in the daytime and 1006kWh at night, which is about twice the average domestic consumption.  That means that an Economy 7 tariff won't be significantly cheaper, so the good news is that being charged at single rate is the correct decision.  When switching, note that some suppliers such as Bulb won't bill an E7 meter at single rate, but many others will.
Sounds like you're using electricity for an immersion heater, an instantaneous electric shower or for room heating.  None of those makes sense when you have gas which is far, far cheaper.
I've assumed that the register with the higher readings is the day rate, but it would be worth confirming that by checking the meter on the wall.

Unlikely to be worth it.  You need to optimise your energy usage as described above, and then to switch to competitive tariffs as soon as you can, preferably with separate suppliers.
