Does that mean they will come out if he books an MOT?sonofmerton said:He phoned Green Flag who he is with and they said that as the MOT has run out, the law says they can't top the battery up and will not be coming out until he books an MOT.
If so, book an MOT then call them out - then cancel the MOT if he doesn't want one.Nope. There's another exclusion:if you haven’t fixed a fault that we have already been called out for in the last 28 days, for example a non start due to a faulty battery;
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Isn't that just an example fault - surely the point of that T&C is " we told told you x needed replacing you haven't replaced x so we're not coming out"Ectophile said:Paula_Smith said:

Yes, but I think the suggestion is that they've already been called out to the flat battery once.bob_a_builder said:

I still can't wrap my head around why this is a problem, though. Just figure out how to unlock the door manually, then chuck a charger on it.0 -
Yeah, you've already told them you know about the fault by trying to get them to come out to it already. Booking an MOT isn't going to fool them, because it's the same fault. I wouldn't be surprised if they cancelled the policy if you kept trying it on.
Just get a mobile mechanic or a neighbour to sort it.

Assume OP remains unconvinced there is an emergency key hidden in the remote or even a hidden lock on the door handle?AdrianC said:

Perhaps talking to relative by phone, maybe not easy to get 90yrs old to understand if opened car for years with fob?
And very vague answers on model, year etc.
Does not help anyone trying to help?The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
my guess is the OP has found the key and accessed the car so won’t be returning on here0
