My 2007 Focus has keyless entry and start, so the car may not be that new. The OP has not mentioned the age of the car, only the owner.macman said:Why is a car new enough to have keyless entry potentially being sent to the breaker's yard?0 -
It's not a breakdown though, it's an abandoned car tat won't unlock/start due to the battery being flat. Most local garages should be able to send someone round to get it going. Then get it an MOT and get rid of it.3

It will. Unless he/you either hasn't found the lock barrels yet, or they're seized through lack of use.sonofmerton said:

At the absolute outside, if he's considering scrapping it, just break a window.0 -

My wife had a Nissan Micra 2003 and though it was 'keyless' there was, if you looked carefully, a tiny keyhole underneath the door handle that could be used in an emergency.0

Does that mean they will come out if he books an MOT?sonofmerton said:He phoned Green Flag who he is with and they said that as the MOT has run out, the law says they can't top the battery up and will not be coming out until he books an MOT.
If so, book an MOT then call them out - then cancel the MOT if he doesn't want one.0
