Thanks debtfree, its been really relaxing. Trying to catch up with some work today - I know I shouldn't but if I don't I will start the week on the back foot and never catch up. My plan is to catch up and then start digging my heels in about either the amount of work I take on, or how much I spend on it. Life is definitely too short. The one good thing is that my personal life is a bit calmer recently so at least I have some space. But.... I would rather be spending my personal time on personal things. I'm feeling very much over feeling like a doormat, I've got skills and they need to pay"Think of many things, do one"

Ouch to working over the weekend. It does sound like a chat with your boss is needed.
Perhaps make a list of all the ways you add value before you go into the chat so you are in as positive a mind frame as possible.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks savingholmes, very good advice. I've been a bit of a yes-man lately and it always ends in being taken for granted. I'm all set to start the week now and that conversation is in the diary!"Think of many things, do one"

Thanks savingholmes and debtfree. The talk went well, I was very calm and focussed on work rather than doing any explaining or blaming. I'm determined to cut down the overtime, or at the very least keep a record of it so that I can claim it back. I'm trying to keep the calm feeling at home, but its easy to get out of sync. I'm holding on though"Think of many things, do one"
