Those could be the new covid symptoms. Would be worth getting a test.

All the craft stuff sounds fun.

  • I thought we would never manage without the TV licence but our habits have changed so much that we hardly watch anything on there.

    Hope you’re feeling better today.

  • Felt a bit ill today, little bit of a cough and a fuzzy head and headache.  I did my new thing of asking myself how I felt and what I needed, and I needed another quiet and relaxing day, so no shopping for me.  So, what did I do, looked at decorating websites, ordered a piece of furniture online and watched 'Judy'.  Very poignant film, I didn't realise she had such a sad ending to her life.  Makes you appreciate what you have.  Feeling better in myself this evening so hoping to make the most of the bank holiday tomorrow.

Hope you're feeling bettter today SS.  I watched 'Judy' too and found it very sad.

    Fortune x

Hi Fortune, yes it was your thread where I saw 'Judy' mentioned - thank you   I knew very little about her before, apart from watching The Wizard of Oz lots at Christmas when I was little.  I didn't realise she'd been married so many times.  We've started watching Mad Men - about the advertising men of Madison Avenue in the 60s.  I thought the 80s were bad enough (when I started work) but the way women are depicted as being treated in the 60's is a whole different story again.

Thanks Fortune, I am feeling lots better today.  Savingholmes I don't think its the C-19 as it was a little tickle of a cough and I've been couped up since the last lat-flow test I took, but I will definitely do one before going out anywhere to get more craft things.  DFOD I really admire you for that, we definitely watch too much TV here.

Thanks for the good wishes and dropping in all

Felt loads better this afternoon and did a lat-flow before popping to Hobbycraft for the first time.  Found some art supplies which were very reasonably priced, plus a lovely art journal for £3.  Then I was reading Twinklie's thread about getting a bad back from sitting at a desk all day, and realised that I haven't been doing the basics to look after my poor back.  Stretches and exercises done and I feel so much better.  There's so much I want to do that I end up doing none of it, so I've narrowed it down and have written up a reasonable plan.  Going to pop out to Lakeland in a minute and hopefully M&S if there's parking.

Sounds perfect! Seriously sounds very lovely... I'm sticking the tapes from my recent painting experiments in my journal and I really like them. I'm definitely starting to get less scared of just playing with paint and seeing where it takes me.

Thanks @savingholmes.  Just having my little pile of art supplies is giving me joy.  Eventually I'm going to have my own art table/area and I picture myself just sat there with a coffee doodling away, feeling very content.  I can just imagine how you feel now you are getting more confident in your creativity.

Hi Sandy - sent you a pm. Playing with artist tape and 'mark' making rather than perfectionism at the moment and seeing where it takes me. Definitely makes me smile.
