Good luck with the plan SS. Health and fitness is going to have a much greater focus for me this year too.

Good luck with you plan. Glad my post was helpful. My trainers have arrived - they are a bit snug - so still debating whether to keep them - but they are as pretty as they looked online!!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks for the encouragement debtfree, fortune and saving.
savingholmes, we were always told to go up at least half a size for running shoes, so bear that in mind when you are debating your trainers. I had plantar fasciitis a few years ago and I have to be careful not to get them too big as I need the support. Nice they are pretty though
Well, I've done the 10 minute stretch video online, and have been running so far. I also managed to read last night and got a reasonable night's sleep. Mr Shores was dispatched to Ikea to buy an extension for my desk - I bought quite a small desk last year, but this working from home malarkey is going on a bit longer than expected. Its a sort of cube shelf unit that fits nicely on the side of my desk and I feel much better having more room to spread out. The cancelled subs will more than pay for that"Think of many things, do one"

I've just been reading everyone's achievements and its prompted me to have a think about my own, its such a lovely positive thing to do:
Managed to get a sideways move at work, and then a small payrise.
Mr Shores started a new job, also with a payrise and a company car
Converted an outbuilding into a lovely home office
Managed to buy some garden furniture at last - in time to enjoy the summer
Started making bread and haven't bought any shop-bought for months
Started making my own yoghurt
Have started running again
Had a slightly revamped hair cut and love it
Treated myself to new glasses
Did a current account switch and gained £125
Sold a few things on the bay of flea - about £400's worth
Survived working from home for a long time
Did a first aiders course
Ending the year 2lbs up on last year, but its only 2lb
Have cleared a lot of stuff out of my wardrobe
Made the decision to keep my car (decisions are hard for me and it was a good decision)
Attended lots of online courses and support groups/sessions
Bought new underwear
Overpaid £1k+ off the mortgage
Have an emergency fund
More to follow....

I too had a small 60 x 100 desk. It's very nice to be on a bigger desk again. I'm sure you'll love it.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
