Hi can someone help me, I can’t be the only one.
Have used Barclaycard app on my iPhone 11 no issues. Migrated to new iPhone 12 today, it said don’t cancel or de-register your account just migrate to the new phone (restore from iCloud backup) and then skip the registration process to log in. Only there’s no way to skip the registration process.
So you try and register again and it gives an error code RG06H. You look up this error code on Barclays and it doesn’t exist. Mentions lots of error codes, not that one.
So I’m stuck in limbo - but I cannot be the only person who uses the app and has migrated to a new iPhone (doesn’t have to be the latest one could be iPhone X to 11 for example) so if your one of those people that uses the app too, how the hell did you do it.
I tried calling them, 37 minutes on hold until it answered, 2 clicks and whoever it was cut me off. Great customer service there.
If it makes any difference it is a Barclaycard Platinum and I’ve followed the advice it gave me, if it had said log out of the old phone app I would have done but even so, there is no way to say I am already registered and just stuck in a loop.

You're not restricted to only one device. Remove and reinstall the app then re-register.0

How many times have you tried to register and got the error message?
If just once, may be worth trying again.
If still no good, I would try changing the subject title to something that might tempt other iphone users to look at your thread. Perhaps "Barclaycard app and iPhone issue", or the like.
I agree with you. Someone, somewhere, must have done this transfer successfully.

Luckily, I jumped off the aPple bandwagon a few years ago
but I find that the best way to contact B/C is via the help section on their website

You can't download the Barclaycard app from iCloud, that information is rubbish. Install the app on your new phone. On the app on your old phone go to help>activate app on a new device. This will generate a code which you enter when registering on your new device. You will also get a text with a code to enter.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

I had a problem like this a few years ago. I just could not get the re-registration process to complete. I managed to contact them by phone and they said it was because there were too many re-registration attempts and it had reached its limit, or something like that. they cleared these at their end and it worked fine after that.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.0

OP, i managed to setup the Barclaycard app on my new iPhone 12 Mini on Friday without any dramas. This wasn't a "migration" - it was a second iphone i wanted to use the Barclaycard app on. However you have to go through many many steps such as SMS verification and crucially, Pin Sentry verification as well using your debit or credit card. Since i have a credit card from Barclays and no physical card reader from them, I just used my Nationwide card reader instead.0

I have never been able to get the Barclays app working on my phone since I reset the phone (but the barclaycard one does work). I think it is the same error as you have. I also have tried ringing but gave up after 45 minutes. As it is not my main account, I just check the balance using a cash machine when I need it.
