DCB Legal & Premier Parking Logistics (Hearing Day 😞)

  • Sorry that your hearing did not go well.

There seems to be a number of judges that are of the opinion that the defendant should engage with the PPC from the outset. They don't seem to realise how futile it is.

Hopefully when the new CoP comes into force it will reduce the number of parking claims that reach the courts.
Yes, he gave me a right grilling on why I never appealed. I tried to explain the futility and the nature of the IAS but it fell on deaf ears.

It's one of those times where I knew after a few minutes where it was heading. His mind was made up and no will in the world could have changed it. He basically called BS on my whole story, which is what has annoyed me the most.

I think maybe that the courts are getting very bogged down at the moment and judges  wonder why these cases are not sorted out at the appeals stage.

I am surprised that the £60.00 was allowed.

Roll on the new CoP. Lets hope that it delivers.

  • I've paid DCB Legal now and they've said that they'll notify the court. Will the court notify me that this has now been resolved?

Are you going to put up with this or are you going to complain.  IMO a complaint would cost them £££s and very likely achieve the result you want.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

As a matter of interest did the rep make any comments?

You should get a receipt from DCB legal. You will also get a notification from the court regarding the judgment.

I would send them a copy of the receipt.

Yes, I have an email receipt from DCBL; I'll gladly forward this on to the court. The deadline for payment was 25th August, but I've paid today to get it out of the way.

As for the rep, they said very little. As far as I recall, their only comment was correcting some dates that the judge read incorrectly and then agreeing the verdict at the end. Hardly anything was asked of them; all the questions came my way and it, in my opinion, were very biased to the judges views.

I saw your earlier post and I am seriously considering making a complaint. However, since it states that this is not the way to complain about the verdict itself, I don't see how this will change the result.

Obviously, I know I can appeal but I'm not sure that's a path I want to go down. This has cost me enough time already.

I would send it to the court to be on the safe side.

    Who was the judge?
