APCOA ones are soooo easy to win.
Just read the a NEWBIES thread before posting, please. No thread was needed. Everything you need to know is already here staring you in the face and you could not ask for a simpler one to win as long as the driver is not divulged.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am posting this in case somebody gets a PCN for not validating in Tesco Slough as all the other posts on this store are closed
I got one in June this year and asked the store manager to cancel it but he said he was unable to. I escalated it to the TESCO CEO Office at below. I Got off due to NTK arriving late and went back and asked many customers who were leaving without validating and made them aware. Signage is poor to non existent despite what the CEO response states so am going to follow this up with a video of signage and let him explain that away as suspect many customers simply just pay up.
Is Kevins response given to those Q4-7 put to him correct under the freedom of information act as also intent to pursue that in my follow upFrom: ceo.customerservice "at" tesco.com

Dear ****
My name is Kevin and I work for a small, dedicated team that looks after correspondence to our CEO and Board of Directors. Thank you for contacting our Group Chief Executive Officer. I’ve been asked to reply on behalf of Ken Murphy.
I’m really sorry to learn that you’ve recently been issued a parking charge notice from Horizon Parking after a shop at our Slough Extra. I can begin to imagine how frustrating it can be to receive one of these unexpectedly, especially with the costs involved and the time and effort involved in appealing.
Unfortunately, what my colleague Kosaca has told you is true. Once a parking charge notice has been issued, it's not possible for the store to intervene. In addition, I regret to say that I am also unable to act on your request to waive the parking charge notice.
From what I understand though at this point no PCN has been issued. If needed in the future, details on how to appeal will be included in the paperwork you receive, and I advise you to refer to this if you wish to appeal.
I’m sorry there were issues at the checkout, but there’s some good news whereby the store can reprint your receipt within 14 days if you want to make sure you have a copy of this for future reference.
We do have a relationship with Horizon whereby we ask them to patrol our car parks in an effort to dissuade drivers from overstaying and making sure they use our disabled bays as well as our parent and child bays correctly.
As you've pointed out, there's a 3 Hours Max Stay with £5 Minimum Spend at this store. This is displayed on 2 signs on entry to the car park and a further 48 around the car park which we believe is sufficient. It’s up to the driver of the vehicle to take notice of the signs displayed which is why this is not advertised in the store.
We do try to make sure customers are allowed ample to time to shop with us. The time limits are necessary to ensure parking spaces are available to our customers and not taken by people who just want somewhere to park their car for the day.
I can see that you have raised a number of additional questions about PCN’s. While I can try to understand your curiosity on the subject, I also hope you can understand this is not information to be shared with customers as we consider this business sensitive.
There’s no set national norm for how we operate the car parks so Slough will be different from Addlestone for example. It’s why we do make sure with signage in all car parks where there is enforcement in place is clear to all drivers.
I do hope that no PCN will arrive but trust the above explains what steps you can take to help appeal this.
Thanks for raising this with me and for shopping with us.
Kind regards,
Kevin Gallagher

Sent: 09/06/2022 12:36My local Addlestone and Ashford and many other TESCO have external car parking without restrictions but note your Slough branch has a validation system with 30 min free parking where there is no need to validate.Q1). Can you please clarify why this particular Slough Tesco deviates from the norm as many customers who visit unaware of this validation can easily end up with a PCN.
I visited your Slough Store late afternoon on 4 June 2022 and purchased petrol and over 5 pound in store and used self-checkout and could not fathom out how to use my Clubcard on those machines so have no backup receipt. I left and forgot to validate the Parking and am likely to receive a PCNI went back to your Customer service on 5th Dec at about 13.15 to have the pending parking cancelled and if they could not assist so asked to speak to the duty manager. Your manager Kosaca arrived at security where I was talking to security guard Ikram and Kosaca also advised there was nothing he could do and it was out of Tesco control. I advised that the local Toby Carvery at Langley have a facility to cancel the joint car park with Travel Lodge as I got a PCN from Euro Parking when trying to make a reservation at Travel Lodge and nobody was at reception and left after 10 mins. I subsequently went onto a forum and somebody posted this in Feb 2022 which is not consistent with what Kosaca stated. .Good news. I got it cancelled through complaining to the 'on duty manager' so goes to show it can sometimes work that way.Q2). Accordingly, can you please have this pending PCN cancelled. My registration is *****
Kosaca said the parking is adequately signed with a large display board which I dispute.a). There is no advise given from Checkout when they hand out the voucher what its for and you need to validate or get a PCNb). I photographed there are no signs from Checkout passage to the escalator or down the escalator or at the exit lobby to the Carparkc). I noted to very Large Sign on the Far ends of Both entrances. These 2 signs are limited to a select few parked directly In front of these 2 store entrances . The bulk of your customers are parked along the store length core and enter head t to the path leading to either entrance where the signs are not in view.
Q3). What corrective Customer awareness action will Tesco be taking
I observed at the bottom of the escalator customers heading straight for the carpark with their trolleys who may also be unaware the need to validate.Q4). How many complaints do Tesco receive on this parking annually.Q5). How many PCN are issued annually.Q6). How many PCN are challenged annually.Q7). I suspect that many of your customers are unaware of the parking validation simple pay up and if so, do Tesco consider this is fair and reasonable policy to treat customers.
