Sending leather with Hermes - prohibited item?

We aren't (yet) but this doesn't mean that some businesses such as courier companies haven't changed their procedures earlier than required.RFW said:
Well, as far as I know, we aren't one officially yet.DiddyDavies said:I'm wondering if it is due to Brexit.
There is an EU regulation (206/2009) which prohibits or restricts the imports of many animal related products from third countries (countries not in the EU) and animal skins and leather are on the list.
Although we have officially left the EU but are still covered under the relevant legislation and procedures, there may be a lot of confusion in some companies and they could have taken the easy route and simply started treating the UK as a "third country".0 -
i HAve just had a look at the prohibited list and wonder what they will take.

Very odd. Hermes are the mail order couriers for Next - who sell leather handbags, shoes and clothes. Or do they only deliver non- leather goods?1

Large retailers can negotiate their own terms with carriers to deliver otherwise restricted items. It does not mean that anyone else can send these things as a result.Silvertabby said:Very odd.
