Explanation on this...?

Evening
Would someone be able to help me with the attached screenshots please?!
Equifax file. On one hand it states no defaults, further down the page it lists a default that hasn't been updated since April...... But on the payment history it shows as no missed payments since Dec 14.
Experian report shows nothing at all. TU does report it but at a different amount.
No debt collection agencies (Lowell and the like) registered on any of my files.
I'm confused!!

Sorry should say TU has it recorded as a default but for a different amount!
    Apologies!
  • Is it an account you recognise?  If so, what you believe the current status to be?

It should be defaulted. As per this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6201348/awaiting-ccj-how-long

I have been trying to track it down ever since, but I can't find it any bloody where, and it's really starting to frustrate me.

Should mention the debt was also part of a DMP 5 years ago and the DMP isn't on any of the CRAs 🤦‍♀️
  • Can you afford to pay the whole amount off?
Having looked at the other thread, it sounds like the debt is due to be statute-barred soon. If they decide to go to court, you can defend the claim saying you tried to get in touch with Lloyds and Moorcroft, and buy time to pay in that way.
Also, If you do end up with a CCJ and you pay it within a month, it won't stay on your file. So you're not doomed to bad credit assuming you're able to pay the debt.
It's also entirely possible that they just won't follow up, especially since it's so close to becoming statute barred, they might be bogged down with other debts they judge as being 'more likely to be able to extract money on' at the moment.

Thanks for the reply ceremony. Yes I can pay, which is the most frustrating thing. As previously mentioned if its within a DRA I would have thought they would be listed on atleast one of my reports 🤷‍♀️

DMP's are not listed on credit files, although it's usually pretty obvious looking at the data whether someone is on one or not.

Thanks Yahoo. A mortgage broker has looked at my report back in June through check my file and the only black marker is the Lloyd's account. I defaulted on the DMP in Nov 14, and even the accounts settled within the DMP were not listed anywhere, even as settled.

I imagine the accounts included in the DMP were defaulted before you stopped paying the DMP, presumably at least before June 2014.

If I'm understanding you correctly, then yes, they were originally defaulted before beginning the DMP. So they drop off records 6 years from the ORIGINAL date of default?
I assumed they would have re-defaulted after they were handed back from the DMP company?
