Has anyone else dealt with Virgin Atlantic for a refund on flight tickets only to find them not honour the full amount?

It took me 2 months as expected and I received a statement stating the true value of tickets £5265.08. However, when the money arrived into my bank account it was £4803.06. A shortfall of £462.02. I have asked for an explanation but have received no communication from them yet. Bewildered, annoyed and fed up0

We received our full amount last week with no problem. The only disappointment was the the time it took them.

Yes, I booked direct with Virgin. I have complained but to no avail. They might answer in another 60 days perhapsWestin said:

Thanks for that David. I am glad you got your full money. Just can't figure out why there is a discrepancy. My sister booked on the same flight and she also received an in correct amount. Hers was £132 difference. Mine £461 for two travellingbleepandbooster said:We received our full amount last week with no problem. The only disappointment was the the time it took them.

Looking back on your flight confirmation paperwork there should be a breakdown of the fare, plus any purchased extras. From this are you able to work out what the difference is between the amount paid and the refund received?
I have heard of separate refunds being made by airlines, often one for the airfare and then separately extra booked like seat assignments. It does seem strange in your case with an odd amount of £462.02 pending.
Was this a GBP£ purchase on a U.K. credit card? Was the credit card the only purchase method? Not part paid on cc and part by debit card?0
