Do I need TV licence if I only watch Youtube in my Smart TV?
I do not have iplayer BBC account and do not watch BBC channel.
I only use my smart TV for games and YouTube.

I disagree with Neil. He may be technically correct, but proving it will be impossible. Unless you modify the TV so it's incapable of receiving broadcast channels, you need to get a TV licence.0

It's quite clear from that site that you need a license to watch "live" tv, even on streaming or online services, such as Youtube.

It might be wise unplugging the aerial from it's wall socket or the downlead from a satellite broadcast receiver but the t.v. doesn't need modifying. Maybe I'm being a bit pedantic but as long as live content or iPlayer are not watched then nothing needs to be done other than save £157.50 poll tax.0
