Question re. Amazon Prime TV

Just signed up for 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime only so I can watch the Rugby Union Autumn Internationals.
I have no experience of streaming TV services so please excuse what might be a silly question.
Do I have to watch the matches live or do they remain available to watch later?

You can watch them live as a live stream (no different to TV or YouTube) and a replay may be available for a few days later, or highlights depending on the rights Amazon have.
  • Thanks for that.

I don't think they are... Channel 4 and RTE will also have coverage of Ireland's matches, while all of Wales' games will be shown on S4C.

As above majority on prime  not ITV/BBC as claimed .
As far as i can work out from RFU matches can be watched later but will expire at end of contract .

Plus no ability to record is a negative for this supplier .

But the amount they are giving to the home unions for the rights is massively needed given there is no ticket revenue!!

Dont disagree with that but i don't want to be tied down as Prime take over 6 Nations prem Rugby 2021/2022 as BT contract ends  May 2021 .
National Broadcasters ,   I Player (  wales/ scotland  )BT Sports , SKY Sports ,Premier Sports . You Tube are enough to contend with .

It will go behind a paywall sadly though I hope BT sport get it as they have the best rugby coverage & pundits.

Multiple paywalls is the problem i see .
Note anyone who does not have free Prime offer
Video only is £5-99 pm  via the more plans tab on Prime sign up .
  • I think multiple paywalls are going to be a problem. The only two sports I would be content to pay to watch are International Rugby Union and MOTOGP. PPV providers need to find a way to allow me to pick and choose what I watch through their services because I won't be paying for coverage of stuff I have no interest in.
