Rent will only go up. At least you'll pay a mortgage off and own the house. Rent will go on until you die.0 -

Crashy this can't be argued as anything but trolling now, digging the thread up when its been dead and buried for a couple of days. Stop trying to provoke and go elsewhere.- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted
- Student Loan gone
Swagbucks, Mingle, GiffGaff, Prolific, Qmee & Quidco; thank you MSE every little bit helps8 -
I do wish everyone would ignore, or at least not quote crashy. I added him to my ignore list ages ago as I was fed up of his trolling. If more people did the same, he'd eventually get bored and less threads would get ruined.4

@danlightbulb Apologies if the topic has moved on, I read the first few pages.
Have you considered speaking to a counsellor or motivational interviewer? Perhaps they can help you explore the "stuckness"/indecision you've experienced over the last year. Also perhaps some space to talk about the enormity of the decision as a single person, and the other considerations you've mentioned? Such as walking away from this idealised version of a home you have and what that means? It seems you aren't really struggling with the house search per se, but all the stuff around it.0 -
