After ordering from eBay, I received the PUK defreeze code (MCK) and network code (NCK) and they worked! I was a bit nervous ordering something like this from eBay, but the seller did have 99.5% positive feedback from 60,000 ratings.

That's good you got it sorted but in the interests of money saving it's worth saying that most phone providers will unlock your phone for free once you are out of contract.

True, but in my experience ebay proved much faster than waiting days/weeks for the network to respond
