  • It can't be a mis-scan from Hermes - otherwise JL would be contacting whoever returned the boots asking them why they've sent them to JL. The fact that JL have returned the boots to the OP indicates that they were in the packaging that the OP handed over at the parcel shop, got scanned and then made its way to JL's returns processing centre. You would expect an organisation such as JL to have a process in place for mismatched returns - sorting leftovers / un-reconciled returns at the end of day, and trying to match them up.
