Received the draft contracts yesterday and the purchase price was wrong on the documents!
Are they perhaps asking you to pay more, as their purchase was more expensive than they hoped? Anyway, I hope you took @Thrugelmir's advice not to spend money on a survey until this was sorted.

I've done lots of property transactions, and whenever there's a delay it's always blamed on somebody or other, and that's never the real reason. If there's a delay, it's because somebody wants there to be a delay.

Haha nope, it was less! The asking price was 165k and our final offer was 168k. The contracts all said 165k which I wish I could have kept quiet about haha but I didn't want the mistake to slow things down later on so informed my solicitor straight away.

brace yourself for a long and arduos process as the seller's solicitors sound incompetent.  you just hope yours isn't to compensate.

Yes this is what I am starting to think. So far my Solicitor seems to be on the ball so I hope it stays that way.
