Have just discovered a way to send a message
Log in to Personal Tax Account
    Click 'PAYE'
Then click 'Check previous Tax Years'
Then click 'Send us an update'
Maximum 500 characters, and it automatically removes any line spacing

Declaring income to HMRC is not something that requires live 2-way communication.
Thats what they seem to want because they tell you to phone.
Presumably so they can ask questions if necessary.
Which would be all very well if you could get through.
Who has told you to phone and if you are in contact with someone at HMRC why couldn't they sort it there and then? They've never asked me to phone when I've declared the income to them in a letter.
Phone number is the only contact detail given on the webpage
Not on the webpage I shared with you a few days ago: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/77787664/#Comment_77787664
