    No revealing who was driving
Will they chase the driver instead?
Only if someone is stupid enough to tell them who it was.
    As above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  • What I meant was, I don’t want the scammers chasing me for money, also I wasn’t the one driving. If they knew who was actually driving (my ex partner), they’d be sending these letters to them instead.
The amount of debt that my ex has left my daughter and I in, it only seems fair that I pass this bit of it back to him!

By all means name the driver , with address , if that is your decision

With CST law , use that modified Scotland letter I linked you to

    With drpl , ignore

    Etc

It all depends on who issued the letters and what is best depending on the country etc

You have no powers to stop debt collector letters , just because you do not want them doesn't stop them , they are legally entitled to send them

So you can break each one down , and deal as appropriate to your wishes , but do not try for the impossible

Entirely up to you and we do understand the issue.  However, you are not liable as keeper, not till your Government fully implement the Transport Act and it won't be retrospective so you are perfectly safe from liability for this fake PCN.

To transfer liability, use the slip on the PCN, making sure you give his postal address too.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • although moto have a 50 yr lease on the land , it is actually owned by highways england , has been aklways will , they will not sell it , just lease it , and in the words of highways england , "tired - take a break"
  • In 1979, the Prior Report proposed a number of changes to make services more profitable, the theory being that this would mean they could improve the service they offered. This is where the two hour minimum free parking period was introduced. As early as 1983, it was standard practice to charge those who stay: a normal overnight parking charge could be £3.50, and the charge for failing to pay would be £13.50. Clamping soon became common.

note the word minimum , also note that clamping is now banned , however no new legistion was enacted after clamping ban

send emm £13.50 , (wheres the smileys?)
  • Hi all, I've received a notice of debt recovery from DCBL (redacted version attached) and I've just spotted that DCBL are adding £90.00 of costs onto it!

How can they do this?! Be grateful for any advice, thanks all.

This is not different than any other case at debt collector stage.  Everyone gets those letters.

Ignore.  Who cares what sum they make up?  This is all covered in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread and on all the other DCBL Recovery threads where people are worrying pointlessly about scam letters.
