Scam: Demon Games unauthorised charges - Advice?
Options
Hello,
Has anyone had unauthorised charges by "Demon Games"? They have been charging me a weekly fee for a phantom "subscription" for months. This is enabled by the mobile carrier, Vodafone in my case.
Here what Demon Games have to say after i requested a refund from the unauthorised charges:
"Your mobile network operator facilitates Direct Carrier Billing (also known as Charge to Mobile), allowing their account holders to buy digital content such as apps and games from their mobile. Costs are automatically added onto your next month’s phone bill or use your Pay As You Go credit. For Pay Monthly contracts, charges for these services are stated on your bill.{...} Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) enables mobile account holders to buy digital content via frictionless transactions, therefore without the need to enter further details such as a payment card or your mobile number. They use Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) enables mobile account holders to buy digital content via frictionless transactions, therefore without the need to enter further details such as a payment card or your mobile number. "
They refuse to refund the money they have (I believe unlawfully) taken. Offered £12 punt but have taken over £100. I didn't subscribe, didn't authorise any payment to be taken for this, and certainly have never received any service from them.
Can anyone advise? how do i get my money back from these scammers? what are the resources?
