And that is not the phone the scammers called you on?

Sorry meant to put IS IT. I wasn’t sure whether if my bank was breached it would make a difference with getting any sort of refund.0

No they called me on my own mobile0

On the face of it, you are not entitled to recover anything from Halifax because you moved the money, not them, and they may take the view you were negligent. Some people have taken their stories to the likes of Rip Off Britain and Watchdog, and pressure applied has resulted in ex gratia payments. There is some more advice here:

Be firm when you next call them, and say that you want details of their complaints system if you get no answer (positive or negative). If you have any accounts or credit cards, or Paypal, Ebay accounts etc, ensure you change your passwords and memorable information. Mother's maiden name is often the default, and thanks to social media can be quite easy to find.1 -

Halifax have just been useless I keep getting passed from pillar to post, speaking to different people just wanted to know whether I would be getting my money back really!1

Ahhh okay, that’s great il have a look at them thank you. Stupid thing to do I know! Still can’t believe I fell for it but that’s what I thought, because I moved the money myself it would be unlikely to get anything back, but hopefully! Thank you!0

While amateur hackers can soon work out obvious passwords like "password", "admin", "12345", "qwerty" etc, complex passwords can give a false sense of security. If a shop's site is hacked and emails and passwords are sold, it doesn't take a fraudster long to try a few banks with those details.1 -
In all honesty I can’t see them refunding you. It’s going to be an expensive lesson.0

one If the biggest sources is Facebook - all those silly “find you xyz” name things.

She continued to say we needed to stop this so we need to move the money to another account so they can’t get anymore (sounds so obvious saying it now I know!).
She then asked which account had the most money (Savings) so she said to move the money from there and use my name and then use my mother’s maiden name (which she TOLD ME, and is also my memorable information) as the reference. Over all I moved around £3600.I don’t really know where I stand because as soon as I got off the phone I called Halifax straight away and reported it as I knew it wasn’t right. That was 4 weeks ago.. and I’ve heard nothing (they told me they’d be in touch in 15 days!)
I just want to know whether I’m getting my money back as I heard other people in the same situation have! And I believe that she knew bank information that she would only know if she’d breached my bank. Therefore it is a fault on my bank!
I don't understand how people fall for this kind of scam because it's so obvious and if you applied even a little bit of common sense you would have seen it was a scam!.
If someone has taken 3 lots of money then you would have seen this when you logged into online banking as pending card payments but that wouldn't have been there. If it was your bank and they can see your transactions then why would they ask you which account had most money, they should already see this!.
They can access your account and they have a responsibility too look after your money so why would they need you to move it too another account when they can just cancel your card or even move the money themselves if they needed?.
But even if you believed it needed to move why would you transfer your money to an account you had no access? I would just transfer it to another account i had with another bank if i thought there was an issue with an account for some reason...
It is certainly 100% your fault for being so gullible and maybe you need to get someone too look after your money in future if you fall for something so obvious.
