Hi
I've set Outlook 2019 up to show a few email accounts. Success on a couple but one is a mystery.
I have an inbox showing and all the emails are coming in nicely. All the old emails received are showing too. However, there is no folder for 'sent' messages.
Any ideas what I've done wrong please?
Many thanks

If you set the account up as IMAP (which by default Outlook will do) then any items in Sent Items on the server will be mirrored on the computer. If you set it up as POP3 then all the email is downloaded to the computer and removed from the server. Sent items are also not sent to the server. They would only appear on the computer.1

That's the point. I have set up as IMAP, but the sent items are not showing on the computer at all - Not even a 'sent' box. I know I have done something wrong but I don't know what?0 -
Do they show up on the server end? Can you log into a Webmail of sorts and see all the folders there? The point of IMAP is that it mirrors the server layout on your local computer so if there is no Sent Items folder on the server for whatever reason it won't appear on your Outlook either.0

OK. I don't know if there is a sent file on the server - I don't know how to check that. But, the sent file, is visible on the other software and laptop. My friend uses something called Roundcube/Gridhost - it's not user friendly and very few features and I am trying to help him get more out of his email by using Outlook.0
