PAYG doesn't come into it, that's just a choice of tariff. What sort of thing are you looking for? Android? Apple? Something else (is there anything else?) What do you want the phone to do besides call/text/data?1

Must be Android :-) I'm not too fussed on what it does tbh! Although it would be good to view all videos - I know on some cheaper ones you can't view some stuff on say BBC iplayer. If its too expensive I won't bother. I like my camera too. My current one is a Motorola Moto G% which has been decent enough for me. So something similar or a slight upgrade would be good. Actually I really struggle with space on this one so something with better storage is a must!

Moto G9 Play around £180 (unlocked). Android 10, 5000mAh battery, 64Gb expandable storage and 4Gb r.a.m.. Although it's screen lets it down somewhat at 720p.A decent enough phone though.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is probably the best value smartphone under £200 at present: currently £199 on Amazon, though was available down to £179 recently. I nearly bought one of these, but decided against because it's a bit bigger than my current phone at 6.5in.

My logic was that because Rebekah already owns a Moto she should be familiar with Motorola and their Moto G phones. There are better spec. phones out there though, as shown in the Xiaomi link. e.g. better screen, more internal storage etc..0

The G8 lacks NFC, which would rule it out for me. And it's out of stock at JL now...No free lunch, and no free laptop
