That's why I only take the wheel in when I have tyres fitted. It reduces the damage that they can do to your car. Plenty of people on this forum say that I am the sort to complain but I never have. Once it's damaged you can never undamage it. I remember when they bent my sills by jacking the car incorrectly I never said a word. Often getting them to repair it means sanding paintwork and using fillers. Not sure how you would repair that alloy. Remove proud metal and fill the holes with something? I know you can get them refurbished so do you insist on that? Personally I would leave it. It still functions as a wheel. It won't fail the MOT. Cars get imperfections as they get older. However I wouldn't have pink valve caps. Personal preference of course.

They were probably once red to match the body

Correct. They were red when I put them on in the summer for a bit of fun (matched car colour) but they have since faded in the sun. I'll be changing them when I get round to it. :)

You can find the tyre size that was factory fitted using the ETIS website.  If you really want to know pm me your reg.
The plate is on the subtitles of the dashcam shot.

Putting that plate into ATS's own tyre size page suggests 215/55 16 as the "recommended" size out of the various options, with 205/55 16 also on the list.

If the 215s were in stock, they're on the tyre plate, and they were what you wanted, why did you let them fit the 205s...?

As for the load rating - have you checked the VIN plate for max axle loads? Certainly the difference between 149mph/V and 168mph/W speed rating isn't relevant to a 1.6 diesel Focus. Non-XL tyres will likely give a better ride.

In my experience you always need to double check the specs on anything that is suggested from any website where you enter your reg number.  Even if they have correctly listed your make and model, the details of any parts may or may not be correct.
  • Sticker inside the door lists a few different tyre sizes with 215's and 205's being on there too.

Any experts on here know the correct wheel nuts to order? I've looked on eBay and it's just awash with dodgy looking nuts.

    Yours is a 1.6D, not a 2.0D?
