If she was due to be there (wherever it was) at end of March then every likelihood the hotel was “closed” except maybe for critical workers. She should indeed be eligible for a full refund. Getting it is another matter. I take it she didn’t pay by credit card? And probably not got insurance cover so she will have to keep at them. If they ignore going the legal route may be remaining option but whether the amount spent would warrant the hassle? Was she offered a credit voucher at all?0

Indeed. They were shutting the hotel due to Covid and decided to shove a load of staff on the street at short notice. Details were in the local press.Aranyani said:
