furlough scheme and maternity leave
I started my maternity leave in January so didn't go on the first furlough.
My maternity leave has just finished but I have not done any shifts yet and now the company is shutting down again and putting most employees on furlough again.
Do I get on the new furlough scheme and if o how do they work out what I should get? My company isn't sure of the rules yet!

It's entirely up to your employer whether they choose to furlough you. The exact details haven't yet been announced but it's liklely to be based on your last pay period.

We know a bit more today, but more details will emerge on 10 November. In the meantime, see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/extension-to-the-coronavirus-job-retention-scheme/extension-of-the-coronavirus-job-retention-scheme0

I was furloughed first time round then made redundant end of July. Can I be re-furloughed by ex employer?0

In theory yes. In practice if they couldn't/didn't want to pay your NI contributions and pension contributions while you weren't working in August, they are unlikely to do so in November.Madge66 said:I was furloughed first time round then made redundant end of July. I don't think you can, as you weren't on payroll at 23 September 2020:epm-84 said:

Employees that were employed and on the payroll on 23 September 2020 who were made redundant or stopped working for their employer afterwards can be re-employed and claimed for. The employer must have made a PAYE Real Time Information (RTI) submission to HMRC from 20 March 2020 to 23 September 2020, notifying a payment of earnings for those employees.
Similarly, an employee who was on a fixed term contract, on payroll on 23 September, and that contract expired after 23 September can be re-employed and claimed for, provided that the other eligibility criteria are met."
