I don’t know if they have actually incurred costs. She said her accountant has picked it up and she’s passed it to her solicitor.
I’m worried if I ignore that she will just keep harassing me and maybe a letter to put it to bed would be best.0 -

I’m worried if I ignore that she will just keep harassing me and maybe a letter to put it to bed would be best. You came here for advice. You've received it. Mostly the same advice from multiple people. By all means ignore it but the advice remains the same:Do not engage with them. Do not respond. Do ignore. Do nothing.Capice?A letter won't 'put it to bed'. It will drag it out.2 -
Personally I suggest you ignore it, but if you want to reply you have been given good advice here (aside from that Hamburger or whatever the name is)An answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......1

You have also incurred costs relating to the failed purchase of the property you intended to buy. It's how the process works whether you agree with it or not. You don't owe them anything.1

If you correspond there is a very good chance that you will say something that they may try to latch onto, some kind of admission or acceptance you may not intend but may put yourself in a position that they will try to argue. You offered an amount 'in goodwill'. They are now being silly so the goodwill has gone and you are under no legal obligation to them so as already said by most of us, just ignore them. If they bump into you in person still ignore them. Do NOT get into any kind of discussion about the matter.2
