PCS Parking fine - Notice To Keeper - HELP!

Options
Hi, Please help I have recieved a NTK parking fine from PCS via manual number plate recognition. They have said I owe them £100 but if I pay within 14 days it goes down to £60. They have a photograph of the back of my car, the time and date I was there and the reason for fining me is 'no stopping'
I have read the newbies post and the blue template but wasn't sure if that applied to me in this case, can someone please advise asap?

Here's what the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, first post says:
''I have read the NEWBIES thread but cannot find anything specific to my case...my case is different''.

NO IT ISN'TYOU DO NOT NEED SPECIFICS. FORGET THE DETAIL, MOST CASES ARE ALL THE SAME.

TEMPLATE ''ONE SIZE FITS ALL'' FIRST APPEAL
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, sometimes it can lead to cancellation.,

It says to complain first but should I just appeal it straight away? I'm sorry if this is obvious to you usuals who post on here but most of this is going over the top of my head. My mum was trying to make me pay it and then I discovered this post late last night. It was a weird bit of land I drove on and stopped to get to a Greggs.

Just appeal, costs nothing and might save you something.  Research the landowner or car park owner and COMPLAIN to them before you appeal.  There is normally a period of time when they will accept appeals and that will be shown on the PCN.

Plan A is your best option , it ALWAYS is

Plan B is the appeal to PCS , likely to be rejected , regardless , they probably won't even read it
Use the blue text template , regardless , appealing as keeper

Check if the postal NTK PCN complied with POFA

Plan C is the Popla appeal , which may win on a technicality

Lots of people think their case is different , this is very rare , your case is standard fodder

How long was the car parked for?  And where exactly was this?

I can totally understand your feeling of panic.  But if you're going to fight this you need to make yourself calm down and do some reading - the Newbies' thread and relevant posts too.
  • I've written a complaint to Greggs in the first instance and then i'll appeal using the blue template within the 14 day period of appealing and see where I go from there. Thanks

It's 28 days for any appeal , not 14 days

28 days from the date on the NTK

The 14 days is the bribe window of 40% discount

You know when you stop to get a Greggs?  Don't go into a car park.

Your Mum is wrong to make you pay a scam parking charge.  That is a terrible example...sorry.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I didn't drive into the car park it's a weird shop,I had found a post of a guy who had the same issue as me in the same Greggs and he got his fine cancelled. Greggs have replied saying it's not their fault as they don't issue parking fines so presume I should go ahead with the blue template and appeal my fine?
