Fuzzy fees?

So I have ended my contract with EE after 24 months.  When I took out the contract I paid in advance (on the day by card).  At the end of my contract EE said the payments would remain the same even though no upgrade.  A cheaper alternative was found elsewhere and duly taken out.  My question is, should I have been charged the full amount for the final bill which was then out of contract?  I had 10 days of it and the phone was paid for by then (I appreciate some of your bill is for service and some for HP on phone).  Surely they should refund the difference.  I would like to point out it is not the money (a paltry amount in this instance) but the principle.  If they did this to every customer, and charged the full extra month, they would be raking in a lot of money!  There is also no email address for EE so can't raise this with them directly.

You will get a pro-rata refund of any line rental you were charged for on your final bill but didn’t use, usually within 7-10 days of the closing bill (if you’re due anything, your last bill would be a negative amount).

If you’re asking if your line rental should have reduced after the 24 months, the answer is no.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

Three months after your minimum term ends, EE would have applied a 10% discount on a handset plan.
EE are obliged to notify you of your minimum term ending. If you don't act, it's not really EEs fault that you failed to act and look at your options.
