They are just looking to see if what they have offered full refit is going to be OK rather than the cheaper quick fix.Life in the slow lane2 -
Fingers crossed they sort this out for us, they haven't offered anything at the moment. If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->1

Just an update. Had a call today from a very unhelpful section 75 case handler. They have said that we do not have a valid claim as it is two separate contracts with two companies as we paid for the fitting by bank transfer even though creative supplied the fitter. Not sure how they work this out as we went to Creative for the full package which included design, supply and install.
When I asked have they checked the website to show how they are selling these kitchens as the full package and that they arrange all the install as part of the package we were getting, he said he had not read that piece of evidence.
I don't think the Halifax have considered the evidence at all and just said that in one of the emails Creative were only acting as mediator.
Going to have to take this to the financial ombudsman now as the kitchen is not fit for purpose and what we have been left with is not the quality we were promised and sold.If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->1 -

Hello Richard, what happened with this in the end? I'm in a similar position to you and am now considering making a section 75 as getting no where with my furniture company.0

Better to start your own thread, with some appropriate details.0

We got our full costs reimbursed and had the kitchen redone, we donated the cabinets that were ok to someone in need so they were not skipped. The kitchen company felt it better to rip out and start again. If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->2
