Hello
Sorry I know this has been asked a million times but I am still confused!
Contract due to end on 26/11. I am unlikely to get a new contract with Vodafone, and will prob go back to Giff Gaff for a while until I need a new phone. Seen lots of chat about 30 days notice and requesting PAC codes. Also getting conflicting info on Vodafone’s live chat.
do I
(a) give 30 days notice
(b) request PAC and use with giff gaff on 27th Nov
(c) give 30 days notice and request a PAC

P.s is the only way to give 30 days notice by speaking to an actual person?
Thanks for any info!

Great so requesting a PAC code is enough to cancel contract

Yes, but only if you use the PAC within the 28 days. If you don't use it the contract continues.
(you can't ask for a PAC and cancel. It's one or the other)

Obtaining a PAC supersedes any previous notice to cancel, which itself would be cancelled and the contract will continue if that PAC is not used. Using the PAC terminates the service with Vodafone.

I would, however, suggest that you obtain your PAC before actually signing up for a contract with another network, as you may find that Vodafone contact you soon after to see what you intend moving to and quite possibly offer you a discounted SIM-only deal that matches or betters it, in order to retain your custom.

You don't need to talk to anyone to get a Pac code.
All you need to do is  just text ‘PAC’ to 65075 to begin the process....you will get a text back with-in 30mis with the Pac code and final bill if you have one.
All you do is give it to GG on there website and thats it.
if you are happy with Vodafone you could just switch to Voxi which is Owned by Vodafone but is more like Payg and you can cancel anytime NO Contract.

Yeah I had done that a few times but kept getting an error and was struggling to speak to anyone. Got it now tho. I’ll have a look at voxi, thanks. Got a sim lined up for giff gaff too. Waiting to see if any decent Black Friday deals

They also have their webchat service as well as the phones - I prefer this because you can request the transcript and have a record of what was said.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

No! Using a PAC code is enough to end the contract.
