Talktalk password reset

Been trying to get access to a talktalk email address which I have forgotten password. The system sends a reset to the email address that I can't access. It will not let me change the password in "MyAccount" either as I don't know the password. Have tried phoning talktalk customer service without success, and last week spent close to 2 hours on their chat line explaining problem, to be told they would pass it on to the Technical Dept for resolution. A week later still waiting for fix and phonecall that was promised 2 hours ago. Anybody got any ideas of where to go next? Really disgusted. Please help.

If its the only talktalk address you have it may be the same one you use to log onto the internet with (that you put into the router), since you would have had to specify one when you first joined.

I like the way you want to blame Talk Talk. 
you forgot the password
You chose not to keep a record (written or using a password program)
you chose not to have a back up email where they could send a password reset to
Talk Talk like every other email provider won't just let you change your password in the MyAccount section for obvious security reasons.
I agree they should have rung you back if promised but perhaps you might take some responsibility yourself for this mess.

Did you not set up a mobile number as well when setting up account? If you did this it can be reset via a code they will send to your mobile
