Deflating Lay Z Spa

Hi all this is my first time on here and I need some advise on consumer rights.
I have a Lay Z Spa that is leaking air from the liner. I complained to Lay Z Spa within the warranty period and told them my Spa is deflating at a slow rate, about every 2 to 3 weeks I have to re-inflate. Lay Z Spa asked for evidence of where it is leaking.
this is the problem. I have searched and searched for the leak with all their advise but cannot find the hole.
i keep contacting them but they say they can’t do anything to uphold my claim without proof. I have sent them a series of pictures over a few week period showing the different stages of deflation but have said this is not good enough as I might just be letting air out and taking the pictures. They said they need hard evidence of the leak in a video.
i am at my wits end as I am going round in circles.

What I need to know is do I have any legal consumer rights regarding this. Is it up to me to prove the fault or is the law on my side to return it and for them to find the fault. I literally have tried everything to find the leak but I feel it is such a small leak and this is why I can’t locate it.

please please help

How long ago did you buy it, and where from?  Your consumer rights are with the retailer, not the manufacturer (unless they are one and the same).  It's reasonable to ask you to prove the fault exists if you've had it a while, yes.  If you're claiming under the manufacturer's warranty, read the terms of that warranty to see what rights you have.

From a practical point of view, make up some very soapy water solution and smear it over each panel and seam in turn.  You should eventually spot the bubbles.  Have you checked the valve - it's possibly a likely place for a leak.  Again, pour soapy water slowly over it to see if there's any leak there.
  • I have done the soap test probably a dozen times.
the spa is probably about 18 months old now but the claim was put in just before the 1 years manufactures warranty was up.
it is taking this long because of all the communications going on between me and Lay Z Spa.

it was originally bought from Very and we have been advised that we can have a full refund if Lay Z Spa will authorise it as a return !!

    Consumer Rights  are with Very
After 6 months it is up to you to prove fault exists and is not damage under Consumer Rights .
An independent report can be accepted by Very under CR .

Warranty is with LayZSpa subject to any terms they want .

Essence though is finding the actual fault .

Sounds like a consumer rights return if the manufacturer is prepared to confirm that the fault exists and that it's inherent.  A full refund is quite generous - Very could decide to reduce the refund amount to recognise the year's use you had of the product.

Unfortunately, if you can't identify the leak I can't see how it can be taken forward.  If you do track it down and let the manufacturer know where it is, it may be deemed a user-caused fault.  e.g. if the hold is on a seam or valve, that would perhaps be considered a manufacturing fault which would be in your favour.  If it were a puncture in a panel, they may consider that something you've caused.
  • After 6 months the onus is on you to prove the fault - so you'll need to do this or you're entitled to nothing.
    They're being perfectly reasonable, IMO.
