Openreach and new Covid lockdown

I have my home move scheduled with PlusNet for Friday 6th, where I am moving into a new build property

Openreach have already been out to connect the line from the telephone pole on the road to the exterior wall of the house

As part of the install on Friday, will the engineer drill a hole in the wall to bring the phone line and cable into the interior of the house?
What do the new Lockdown rules mean for this type of work?

I've tried AskJoe on the plusnet website to no avail, and none of their phonelines seem to be up

It's down to the engineer on the day , they are given leeway to refuse .

There may be nothing to do inside on the day , if it's a new build it may have been pre cabled inside and the outside work has now been done .

Surely the builders should have done all this when the house was built?

Is this a single new build in the middle of nowhere ?  Otherwise I can't believe it is not pre-cabled, also a pole !!

Thanks for the detailed report of how you resolved your issues. It will be very helpful to others with the same problem.
    😉
We are waiting for openreach due to issues with our Bt phone line affecting our bt broadband. We have been told the engineer will only come into the home as an absolute last resort, due to lockdown.  So hopefully they can sort it from the communal panel in the hallway and the box outside on the street!

Since the problem started when an engineer connected up the broadband for the top flat ... we honestly can’t see how he problem is inside our flat.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
