Hull and KC

Has KC monopolised Hull?
I am moving soon and couldnt find out if having BT is still an option?
I am missing out on good deals on broadband connection as most providrs need BT line.Am i restricted to Karoo!!!?
any tips will be helpful

I live in Hull and unfortunately you are stuck with KC, I've thought about SKY /Virgin but you pay for the full package and can't use the phone and broadband parts of their packages, why arent any other companies interested in Hulls telephone monopoly - a bit of competition would'nt go amiss - or is KC being deliberately obstructive?

Yes unfortunately the only landlines available in Hull are from KC and as a result the only broadband service you can get is Karoo:(

my fears come true!their karoo package seems way off any of the competitors.Cannot believe one city in entire UK is held hostage!!I think recently people have written to watch dog.I will do that as well.Is living in the villlages outside Hull(west hull)the same or do we have a choice of ISP?

The villages around Hull are all in the same boat & can only get KC lines. Have a look at this map;

..the blue shaded areas around Hull are all KC only. The places marked with yellow dots can get either KC or BT.
