A former friend never paid me back

In February, a former friend asked me to pick something up for her. She was only gonna pay for the PJ’s and not the travel. Months later, she said she would use the money she owed me to give me gifts instead. Now we are no longer friends, I think she should pay back for the pjs and the travel.
If she refuses to pay me back, where do I go from here. It seems the money owed is too low for it to be worth going to court. If she doesn’t respond to my PayPal invoice, I might just have to accept that I will never get the money back.

£59, £26....either way, certainly not worth bothering the small claims court system with, it would cost you £25 to file it. Just dont lend money out to this person again.7

Whether this person was a friend or is not a friend now, she should still have paid you back.
But that's the thing with lending money, or anything really, there's always a danger that you won't get it back.
It's a hard lesson to learn. This person will just go on to do this same thing to other people, you are well rid of her.
