If the flight is still going, then you need to look to your insurance.

Go. You are legally allowed to fly there tomorrow and there is no FCO advice not to go there as it stands, I believe. Therefore your insurance wont pay out. The Government have said nobody has to return home early so go and enjoy Madeira until Friday.

Just checked and yes, Madeira still fine and will still be fine until Thursday...

Insurance will still be valid as you went before the likely change comes in but they wont pay you out if you decide off your own back not to go tomorrow.

Confused? You go on holiday on Monday, lockdown does not start until Thursday.
If the flight departs and you have Disinclined to Travel "no show" then you will not get a refund unless you have that covered in your insurance?

Enjoy your holiday. And adhere to any restrictions / advice when you return.

It's very unlikely a flight on Friday will be cancelled as they'll likely be lots of British people to return home.  If you've booked a return flight or a package holiday then the company you have booked with have to compensate you if the flight on Friday is cancelled.  If you were staying there for 3 weeks it might be a different matter.

Another one that says go and enjoy, your timing is perfect - you aren't missing anything at home.

Accommodation can always be rebooked. I’d still go.

Wait? You came on here at 4:46PM to ask for advice?

You were given good advice to go, enjoy and not to lose any money.

And by 5:11PM you already have cancelled to get accommodation refunded and to lose flight costs??

You managed to do this between your posts at 5:09 and 5:11PM
