In addition, solicitors will not be working at full capacity. Who on earth would want to take on all the hassles of house buying/selling during the most dangerous winter we will ever have seen ?
As for after Covid is brought to heel by introduction of a vaccine, I expect a lot of housing market activity-----and for those who can wait, that sounds a lot more promising than what we face during the next 6 months. But the Government have. And unless you live in a bubble, it appears that most people seem to think this is completely overblown, a Government conspiracy or something else. Go look at other forums (including MSE). Go look around Facebook, Twitter (hashtag #wewillnotcomply ) the thousands of people who will almost certainly be not socially distancing in some up and coming "demonstrations". Or the thousands that spent the weekends at Raves across the country who thought that the Police were so unfair closing them down that they felt impelled to throw bricks, stones and cans at them.Estate Agents are allowed and are opening their doors. Surveyors, solicitors and banking staff are working. There is absolutely nothing stopping the housing market continuing to be buoyant. It sounds to me like most people involved in the housing market have been absolutely clear this morning that there will be no furlough this time (certainly, that's what I heard in the industry this morning).

Think all parties need to give a level of forbearance; something which I’ve not yet experienced from EA/vendor
They have set strict deadlines and significant pressure in the best of times but just unrealistic timelines and pressure for this current situation. The EA/vendor don’t respond in a timely manner or issue the same deadlines/pressure to themselves.0
