Ryanair “random” Seat allocation

I’m on a flight to Poland which is pretty empty and it’s funny to see that almost everybody is sitting in a middle seat, courtesy of Ryanair’s “random” seat allocation.

They've been doing it for ages. They allocate all the middle seats first and will split up parties deliberately unless they've paid for seats.

Works brilliantly if you're travelling alone though on a busy flight. Just check in as late as you can after everyone else has been allocated the rubbish seats. Often you'll get a nice exit row seat or even row 1!
