    She would be best cleaning up the CV, and applying to supermarkets etc.
    If you own your home, then £18k split between other bills etc should be OK for the short term with no mortgage to pay.

    Do the new lockdown rules allow hairdresser to provide treatment in Client's home?  Genuine question.

    I suspect mobile hairdresser will not be permitted, but attending for "personal care" is permitted.  Hair cut is one type of personal care.

    Having a mortgage would make no difference to UC entitlement
    It will make a difference to this:

    If you own your home, then £18k split between other bills etc should be OK for the short term with no mortgage to pay.

    Agreed. I didn’t consider I owned my home until the mortgage was paid off but I know people do say they own their home with a mortgage outstanding .
