Due to exchange on Monday and complete on Thursday!

What do you think my chances are? Funding it by about 2/3 cash but remainder coming from two separate sources from NatWest (one is a mortgage and the other is funds being released from a remortgage). My seller is going into rented but not until Thursday so can’t push for earlier completion. Am panicking about exchanging with no guarantee funds will be cleared by Thursday if lockdown happens Wednesday.

Property sales and purchases still completed when lockdown started in March.

Most companies involved in the buying and selling of property are still working from home.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Absolutely, there is no reason why it shouldn't go ahead even in full lockdown. Banks will still be working.

  • We are suppose to exchange Monday, complete Friday. I'm so so gutted! I desperately hope we can still go ahead.

My seller has a removal can booked for Thursday (completion day). So technically I could complete and not be able to move my stuff in as she will still be there with all her stuff. Should be interesting!

    *van not can!
  • We are completing on Thursday as well although we are moving out a day earlier. I am OK with our removals, hope the buyer can still go ahead on Thursday.

My partner works for a removal firm and as far as we are aware it is business as usual for them. So there shouldn’t be any problems for you on that front!
    Good to know!
